Colorguard is an exciting performance art that combines the use of many styles of dance, the use of props and color, dramatic skills, costuming, and athletic stamina.  It is one of the fastest growing pageantry arts and colorguard programs exist all over the world.

In the fall, the Harrison Colorguard performs outdoors as a section of the Harrison marching band at football games, parades, and both local and national competitions.  This coming fall of 2007, the Colorguard will travel with the Harrison Marching Band to the Bands of America (or BOA) Grand National Championships in Indianapolis, IN.  This is the highest level of competition for marching band in the country and we are excited to represent our school and community on such a huge stage.

In the winter, the Colorguard competes indoors as the Harrison Winterguard, a separate performing ensemble that competes at local, regional, and national events.  The winterguard is the 2006 Southeastern Colorguard Circuit Silver Medalists and Georgia State Champions.  the Winterguard has been a finalist in the Winterguard International (or WGI) Atlanta and Tampa Regional Championships and Semi-Finalists at the WGI World Championships.  Performing for audiences, traveling to new places, and making life-long friends are just a few things that make the Harrison Colorguard such an awesome experience!!!
